And 4 Reasons Artists are Furious

Like the rest of you, I’ve seen a lot of AI art lately…

Like a lot of it. The Lensa AI Art Generator portraits, in particular, are all over my Instagram and Facebook. And you know what? They look phenomenal on a small mobile screen.

In fact, the art generated by AI is so good, real artists themselves can barely tell the difference between their artwork and the AI artwork. Now, I love technology — I’m far from a luddite.

But this shit is genuinely terrifying.

For moral reasons, political reasons, and financial reasons — AI art is not the amazing tool people think it is. And yet, few people are talking about the dangers to come from it outside of my friends who are digital and traditional artists.

So, let’s first talk about the problem with AI art. Then we can try and decide on some solutions, but honestly… it’s looking pretty grim.

Here are 4 reasons AI art is a problem:

Problem #1 — It’s Flagrant Plagiarism.

Personally, what pisses me off the most is the blatant plagiarism. Tons of artists have come forward to complain that AI technology, Stable Diffusion, used their art
