I like Medium as a platform and it's SEO applications for sure. Plus some extra cash to buy coffee is always nice, but I think too many writers are selling themselves short by ONLY writing on Medium.

Real magazines will publish your work if it's good and you network with editors. Small business will pay you as a freelancer for their blog if you 're good at pitching. Even a low-paying gig on Fiverr or Upwork pay more than most Medium articles.

Writing can be a real career, but it's not only on Medium and I think too many beginners are stuck here.
