Get off all these platforms honestly. I take small projects there but they don't protect freelancers and the 20% fee is insane.

Sorry you had to go through this, but maybe it's a wake up call to start networking other ways and really change your mindset from freelancer to small business owner. Once I did that, I earned a lot more than I ever did on Upwork.
