Alright, internet — LET’S TALK. 📢

I’ve been copywriting for over a year now, writing social media posts, blogs, websites, and everything in between. After learning a lot about marketing and business, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that some brands, even large ones, don’t know what they’re doing on the internet.

And so, I’ve rounded up the worst offenders so, hopefully, you can learn from them and avoid their obvious mistakes.

Here is a list of social media strategies (and other faux pas) I think we are all absolutely done with and — personally — I would never like to see again:

1. Guilt Tripping Your Fans

This is a recent trend and it just doesn’t sit well with me. Lately, I’ve some pretty major brands getting their social media managers to beg their followers to like their content and interact with it, which in itself it’s wrong.

They’re actually justifying their actions by saying if their followers interact, then they (the social media manager) won’t get fired. Um, toxic much? Wait. Let me just get this straight so I understand. You’re threatening to FIRE an…
